1. KOYN

One of the top Japanese restaurants in Mayfair, KOYN is located on chic Grosvenor Street. You can easily spot it by the restaurant’s red Mini car parked outside.

The restaurant interior has an elegant and minimalist design with warm wood tones. There’s also an atmospheric downstairs bar with regular DJ residencies. The pared down design puts the focus firmly on the cooking.

Executive Chef Rhys Cattermoul and team have concocted a responsibly sourced menu with signature dishes such as Braised Wagyu Short Rib and Alaskan King Crab. An open counter kitchen rustles up amazing sashimi, sushi and tempura.

2. Hélène Darroze at the Connaught

Hélène Darroze at The Connaught is a renowned two-Michelin star French restaurant located within The Connaught hotel in Mayfair, London. It is helmed by namesake chef Hélène Darroze,  who earned two Michelin stars in 2003.

The restaurant highlights Darroze’s creative French cuisine, combining regional flavors with seasonal British ingredients. The stylish dining room features wood paneling, warm lighting, and an intimate ambiance.

3. COMO Metropolitan London

This boutique hotel is a great choice for dinner in Mayfair. Renowned chef Ruben Briones and team have come up with a creative menu that’s strong on flavour, in a stylish setting within the COMO Metropolitan London hotel on Old Park Lane.

They host regular pop-up dining experiences. Take a culinary journey around the Mediterranean, with some incredible dishes like shellfish croquettes with sriracha mayo.

Yellow curry mussels with garlic and smoked cheese flatbread was a recent menu highlight, together with chargrilled monkfish with seafood and lobster broth rice.

Diners can either sit in the dining room or at the counter, which we recommend for a close up view of the open kitchen. You can enjoy some delicious cocktails such as a Raspberry Virgin Mojito, or pair your meal with Taittinger Champagne.

4. BiBi

This award-winning Indian restaurant is the brainchild of Chef Patron Chet Sharma. It serves a selection of small plates in a cosy dining room on North Audley Street.

The menu combines the very best Indian and British ingredients to great effect. The bar area offers creative cocktails inspired by Sharma’s culinary concepts.

5. Park Chinois

Nearby on Berkeley Street, Park Chinois is one of the best restaurants in Mayfair for dim sum. Recreating the opulence of the 1930s, they actually have their own in-house theatre company who host live entertainment.

Restaurateur Alan Yau knows a thing or two about creating the right ambiance and it’s a very elegant place, with white tablecloths and gold leaf in abundance. Try the roast duck or book in for afternoon tea with live music. We enjoyed the lunchtime dim sum menu, available four days a week from Thursdays onwards.

6. Kitty Fisher’s Mayfair

This Mayfair restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists. It is named after an 18th-century courtesan, and the decor is inspired by the Georgian era.

Shepherd Market, where the restaurant is located, was once known as a red-light district, and Kitty Fisher’s pays homage to its colorful history. The menu features British classics with a modern twist, and the wine list includes both old and new world wines.

The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are attentive and helpful. Kitty Fisher’s is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal in Mayfair.

7. Theo Randall at the InterContinental

Theo Randall at the InterContinental is one of the top Italian restaurants in Mayfair. The dining room has a fresh new look but the quality of the produce remains unchanged.

We highly recommend the Saturday bottomless brunch, Festa in Famiglia. There is a huge array of dishes to choose from, accompanied by Aperol Spritz, Negroni or Prosecco for 1.5 hours from arrival.

Dinner at Theo Randall is also a fantastic culinary experience. Feast on Italian dishes such as pan-fried cuttlefish,, mushroom and ricotta ravioli and beef sirloin with porcini, mixed greens and roasted carrots.

Pair your meal with one of the many delicious Italian wines that the knowledgeable sommelier recommends. Most importantly, save room for the delicious Neapolitan rum and Amalfi lemon baba!

What’s more, Theo has a new cookbook, The Italian Pantry, which offers 100 different ways to use 10 cupboard staples at home. Beautifully presented, this cookbook is a great way to enjoy a taste of Italy at home.

8. Apricity Restaurant

This sustainable restaurant by Chantelle Nicholson on Duke Street focuses on low-waste, joyful dining. The modern British menu includes locally foraged ingredients, sustainably caught fish and regeneratively farmed meat.

As well as the main ground floor space, there’s a Chef’s Table within the kitchen. It can seat up to 10 people and offers a choice of 5 or 7 course tasting menus.

9. Sartoria

This Mayfair restaurant has been going strong on Savile Row since 1998. Renowned for its Italian cuisine and attentive service, Sartoria has a cosy bar as well as a spacious dining room with comfy banquette seating.

In the evenings, the low light gives it an extra charm. The tables are sufficiently far apart that you can easily have a private business conversation or intimate date.

The food is equally impressive, with dishes inspired by Chef Patron Francesco Mazzei’s Calabrian roots. Classic Italian dishes such as fritto misto, vitello tonnato and tiramisu are complemented by contemporary dishes like crab salad served pinzimonio style and home cured black cod with liquorice. Save room for delicious desserts such as ginger chocolate tartlet with raspberries or an amaretto tiramisu.

10. MiMi Mei Fair

If you like Peking Duck, don’t miss MiMi Mei Fair by acclaimed restaurateurSamyukta Nair. This high-end Chinese restaurant is located in a Georgian townhouse on Curzon Street.

From The Hall to The Library, The Peacock Room, The Parlour, The Drawing Room, The Moon Bar and The Vault, each area of this London restaurant is beautifully decorated.

11. Ormer Mayfair

Located within the five star Flemings Mayfair Hotel, Ormer Mayfair holds a Michelin star and four AA Rosettes. Head chef Sofian Msetfi and team use the best seasonal products from local suppliers and their own Essex kitchen garden.

This is a chic restarurant on South Audley Street that is known for its liberated Chinese cooking. It’s held a Michelin star since 2009 for its authentic yet contemporary dishes.

The Chinese Whispers Afternoon Tea is available from Wednesday to Sunday. Guests can dip into the Jar of Whispers and Conversations for conversation starters such as “What was your worst wardrobe mistake?”.
